Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Men’s Baseball of Ocala Spring Championship game, the Ocala Lightning. After an undefeated season, they were able pull out a late-game comeback win in a playoff game to set the stage for a strong win yesterday in the Championship game against the Bulls. The Bulls also had to pull off a late-game, extra-inning win in their playoff game to make it to this game. There was some really great baseball played this season! Special thanks to the managers that helped to make it happen. They all pulled together when teams struggled with getting players to games and filled open spots on short notice. That is the one thing that kept this season so competitive and that is what we’re all here for. It’s a lot more fun to win when you know you had to really earn it and no one had any quit in them this season. Thank you all for a great start to 2022! See you all again in the fall.
